Aiken High School Today

What opened in 1962 as Aiken Senior High School is
now three
separate public high schools:

Aiken Service Learning High School

Aiken Traditional High School
Aiken University High School

These photographs were taken on Friday, October 29, 2004.
The school was closed for the day, and the classrooms were empty.
A football game was scheduled in Aiken's stadium that evening,
so there were still a few students around.

The Aiken administration and custodial staff were very helpful,
getting us into familiar and unfamiliar parts of the school.
It was an overcast day, until we got to the last few shots...
Then the sky opened up, and sunlight broke through.
