The Aiken Choir Reunion

On Saturday night, Reunion attendees will be treated to a
performance of a reunited, Aiken Senior High School Choir.

Mr. Robert Hatmaker, Aiken's Choral Director in the early years,
will direct the Choir in two selections:
The Lord Bless You And Keep You, and
The Aiken Alma Mater.

The Choir will perform before dinner in the Union Terminal Rotunda.
A short rehearsal is scheduled for 5:30 PM on Saturday.

If you would like to be a part of the Reunion Choir,
we would love to have you. Please send an email to
Jeffry Weidner ('65) - j.weidner@aikensfirstclasses.org
Please let him know that you are planning to participate...
and which part (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass)
your would like to sing.

The sheet music is available in downloadable Adobe PDF Format files.
There are also GIF files available for each page.

Acoustic Rock Reunion

Popular music was a big part of life in the 60s... and life at Aiken.

During the early 60s, Record Hops with DJs from WSAI and WCPO
were frequently augmented with live performances from groups like
The Teesians, Little Don & The Contentions, and many more.

Vocal groups, like the Coachmen, added a contemporary
touch to activities and events.

We are reuniting some of the best players from the era for a
one-time performance on Saturday Night, July 30th.
There will also be 1960s DJs and other surprises.
